Mime or Mukabhinaya is an integral part of any form of acting; be it in Dance, Theatre or Film. This is the only acting institute in India that has developed its curriculum on the basis of Bharatmuni’s Natyashastra. It encompasses the basics of all form of acting.
National Mime Institute runs a post-graduate Diploma programme. Though Mukabhinaya is the focal topic of training here, but exposure to acting as well as other technicalities pertaining to other forms of performing arts also taken care of.
The course is divided into Three semester. Duration of each semester is Three months.
The course starts on 9th July every year. The notice for admission is put up during April-May on the website and also circulated through Whatsapp & Facebook. It’s a Residential course and a maximum of 20 students can be accommodated in a year.
All documents related to academic qualifications and experience in the field of performing arts need to be attached along with admission forms.
